SUSTAINABILITY

is at the forefront of our thinking

To ‘change the way we give’, transparency is key. At TEAM, we want to empower you, our customers, & make informed choices, creating change together.

On this page, we take you through the most used materials in our lower-impact product collection to let you truly understand the impact.

In our industry, the choice of material is critical to achieve positive impact. Recycling is considered an effective way to save non-renewable resources (e.g. plastic, metal) from becoming waste and is an important part of a circular economy; recycled materials also use far fewer resources in production than conventional materials.

The source of the recycled content can be ‘post-consumer’ or ‘pre-consumer’. Post-consumer refers to waste resulting from products used by consumers and then discarded, like plastic bottles. Pre-consumer refers to waste from production processes (factories) like leftover scraps of fabric.

A good option in terms of circularity is to use renewable materials (e.g. cotton, wood) instead of recycled non-renewable material in products.

As a renowned supplier of corporate gifts, we take our commitment to the environment seriously. Using materials that create a lower impact on the environment means we repurpose waste, save on natural resources, and have reduced emissions when developing products. These efforts result in unique lower-impact gifts.

  • Thermoplastic recycled elastomers (TPE)

    Thermoplastic Recycled Elastomers (TPE)

THERMOPLASTIC RECYCLED ELASTOMERS (TPE) is a plastic which can be bended under high temperatures and has a rubber-like flexibility. This means it is very suitable for products such as charging cables and watch straps.

RCS certified: The Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) verifies the percentageof recycled material and tracks it from the source to the final product.

Impact: Recycled TPE saves more than 60% of GHG-emissions, compared to the products manufactured from virgin TPE

    Recycled content: Post-consumer

Recyclability: Second cycle of recycling depends on the quality and recycling method, however, it can be recycled and reused again.

  • Recycled polypropylene

    Recycled Polypropylene (PP)

RECYCLED POLYPROPYLENE Is one of the most widely used plastics in the world, known for being a durable thermoplastic & multi-purpose, used in variety of applications.

GRS & RCS certified: The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) & Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) verify the percentage of recycled material and tracks it from the source to the final product.

Impact: Recycled Polypropylene saves about 50% of CO2-emissions, compared to conventional Polypropylene

  • Recycled stainless steel

    Recycled Stainless Steels

RECYCLED STAINLESS STEEL is one of the best corrosion-resistant materials that can be recycled indefinitely, without losing its quality and other properties. The extended life of stainless steel makes it a prominent material in circular economy.

RCS certified: The Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) verifies the percentage of recycled material and tracks it from the source to the final product.

Impact: Recycled Stainless steel saves about 44% of GHG-emissions, compared to the products manufactured from conventional stainless steel.

    Recycled content: Post-consumer & Pre-consumer

Recyclability: Second cycle of recycling depends on the quality and recycling method, however, stainless steel can be recycled indefinitely.

  • FSC® certified wood, bamboo and paper

FSC® Certified Wood, Bamboo and Paper

FSC® certified wood, bamboo and paper are sourced from forests. These are strong materials of natural fibres that can be used for many different purposes.

FSC® certified: The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) is dedicated to the promotion of responsible forest management worldwide.

Impact: Use of materials from responsibly managed sources reduces the climate impact of cutting down forests, which store CO2 and contribute to biodiversity.

Recycled content: Possible for FSC but the recycled version of these materials is not used in our collection

Recyclability: Wood, bamboo and paper based products can be recycled and reused again.

  • Recycled cotton

    Recycled Cotton

RECYCLED COTTON fibers are the purest form of cellulose. It is widely cultivated and one of the most extensively used materials in various textile applications.

GRS certified: The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) verifies the percentage of recycled material and tracks it from the source to the final product. Contains AWARE™ tracer: A physical tracer, linked to public blockchain technology for trusted traceability and transparency.

Impact: Recycled cotton reduces about 23% of GHG-emissions, compared to the products manufactured from conventional cotton.

    Recycled content: Post-consumer & Pre-consumer

Recyclability: The recyclability of recycled-cotton depends on the quality of fibers and recycling method, yet it can be recycled and reused again.

  • Organic cotton

    Organic Cotton

ORGANIC COTTON is responsibly cultivated cotton without the use of any synthetic agricultural chemicals such as fertilizers or pesticides and it is not genetically engineered.

OCS certified: The Organic Content Standard (OCS) verifies the percentage of organically grown material and tracks it from the source to the final product.

Impact: Organic cotton production eliminates the use of pesticides, fertilizers, and replenishes soil fertility, thus, reduces about 14% of GHG-emissions, compared to conventional cotton production.

Recycled content: Organic cotton does not contain recycled content

Recyclability: Organic cotton can be recycled and reused again, just like conventional cotton. The recyclability of organic cotton depends on the quality of fibers and recycling method.

  • Recycled ABS

    Recycled ABS

RECYCLED ABS stands for Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene. It is a plastic that is light weight and tough. It is suitable for a variety of products and often seen in casings for audio/technology Items

RCS certified: The Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) verifies the percentage of recycled material and tracks it from the source to the final product.

Impact: Recycled ABS can reduce about 80% of CO2-emissions, compared to the conventionally produced ABS.

    Recycled content: Post-consumer

Recyclability: Second cycle of recycling depends on the quality and recycling method, however, it can be recycled and reused again.

  • Recycled aluminium

    Recycled Aluminium

RECYCLED ALUMINIUM is a versatile material, capable of being recycled indefinitely, without losing its original properties.

RCS certified: The Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) verifies the percentage of recycled material and tracks it from the source to the final product.

Impact: Recycled Aluminium reduces more than 50% of GHG-emissions, when compared to conventionally produced Aluminium.

    Recycled content: Post-consumer & Pre-consumer

Recyclability: Second cycle of recycling depends on the quality and recycling method; however, Aluminium can be recycled indefinitely.

  • Recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET)

    Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)

RECYCLED POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE (PET) also known as Polyester, is the most commonly produced plastic in the world & the easiest to recycle among other thermoplastics.

GRS & RCS certified: The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) & Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) verify the percentage of recycled material and tracks it from the source to the final product. Relates to hard goods.

Contains AWARE™ tracer: A physical tracer, linked to public blockchain technology for trusted traceability and transparency. Relates to soft goods)

Impact: RPET reduces about 48% of GHG-emissions, when compared to conventional polyester.
